Strive Taekwondo Christmas Party 2025: A Celebration of Community, Fun, and Achievement

Last Saturday, 20th September, the Strive Taekwondo family gathered for our annual Christmas Party — an evening that perfectly captured the spirit of our club: joy, unity, and celebration. From the moment everyone arrived, the atmosphere was filled with festive energy, laughter, and the unmistakable warmth of a community that continues to grow stronger together.

The event offered something for everyone, with games for both kids and adults alike. Children ran around excitedly, taking part in fun challenges and activities, while adults joined in with just as much enthusiasm, proving once again that the Strive spirit knows no age. These shared moments of play and connection reminded us that Taekwondo is not only about discipline and training, but also about building friendships and enjoying time together outside the dojang.

One of the highlights of the evening was our raffle, which raised €130 to support the provision of our new club tracksuit. We are deeply grateful to Micallef & Zammit Ltd., Revlon, and the club for generously sponsoring the prizes. Their contribution helped make the raffle exciting and meaningful, and the funds collected will directly benefit our athletes in the coming year.

A special thank you also goes to Farsons, who kindly provided some drinks for the event, adding to the festive atmosphere. We extend our deep and heartfelt appreciation to Dolcezza Confectionary and Stationary for their ongoing support and for supplying a wide range of items — from party essentials to drinks and more. Their generosity played a big part in making the evening smooth, enjoyable, and beautifully organised.

Earlier that same day, we held our grading session, where many of our students demonstrated their progress, discipline, and hard work. During the Christmas Party, we proudly presented certificates to all the students who passed their grading. New Yellow Belts: Jamie Brincat, Ruth Cutajar, Drake Damato, Emma Debono, Kane Falzon, Bradley Micallef, Teodor Palalic, Matthew Pickar, Sophie Pickard and Harry Siderakis; New Green Tabs: Federico Belelli, Aleksei Lukin, Leah Pace, Diego Riolo, Alaya Shembesh Gatt and Xavier Spiteri; and New Green Belts: Hayley Micallef, Urs Schwinger and Gioele Valzecchi. Seeing their smiles as they received recognition for their effort was one of the most meaningful moments of the night. These achievements reflect not only technical growth, but also the perseverance and character that Taekwondo instills.

As the evening came to a close, it was clear that this year’s Christmas Party was more than just a celebration — it was a reminder of the strong bonds that make Strive Taekwondo a true family. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed. Together, we continue building something special, one celebration at a time.
