HISTORY
1 - 1973 → First World Taekwondo Championships held in Seoul; World Taekwondo Federation (now WT) established.
2 - 2017 → Name changed from World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) to World Taekwondo (WT) to modernize and avoid confusion.
3 - 1988 Seoul Olympics → Taekwondo introduced as a demonstration sport.
4 - 2000 Sydney Olympics → Became an official medal sport.
